Sometimes your home or commercial property doesn’t check off all the boxes – perhaps you’re running out of space or the layout is no longer efficient. Apart from building a brand new house or moving to a new commercial property, an extension or addition is a great way to upgrade the existing structure to better fit your needs, and as an added benefit, increase the property value. It can make an old home feel new. Extensions and additions are major renovations that have a similar, but less intensive development process as building a new home or commercial property and require experienced professionals and contractors in order to be issued permits and build the project.

Design
Whether you’re dreaming of a second storey addition, a larger living space, a bigger office or even a sunroom, before considering an extension or addition, it’s important to check the local zoning bylaws to confirm that the type and size of structure you’re looking to build is allowed – each municipality will have strict building and zoning guidelines. In order to acquire a building permit for the project, construction drawings will need to be submitted and approved by the local governing body. Our expert team will help you through this process.

Planning and Execution
Before demolition and construction can even begin, a building permit must be issued for the project. Our team will coordinate with the local municipality to ensure that all necessary documents are acquired prior to commencing.
Our team will coordinate with vendors, contractors and trades to tender the project and establish construction schedules and timelines.
Throughout the building process, our team will provide construction supervision and coordinate with city inspectors at every stage to ensure that the project is executed on-time and as per design and building code specifications.
